Cartridges come empty and can be used with either Standard inks or Sublimation Inks (dependant on printer).
One time use chips - When ink level shows empty cartridges can be removed and refilled. To use them again a new chip will need to be put onto the cartridges otherwise the printer will not recognise them. These cartridges come with chips already installed for their first use and further chips can be purchased separately.
